Delegate Mary Ann Lisanti has disgraced the office of Delegate and the General Assembly as a whole with her comment referring to the Black residents of Prince George’s County with a racist slur. Her statements afterward have only made the situation worse, not better. After admitting to making the racist slur, she is now saying she didn’t say it, which is even more insulting and demonstrates a lack of sincerity in her apology. Delegate Lisanti is still being paid by Maryland taxpayers. She’s now not on any committees, but she may be the deciding vote on the floor on critical issues coming up like physician-assisted suicide. This is disgusting and she is making a mockery of our state. We have launched a petition as this disaster needs to end. Please sign and share this with others!
