My Reporting Experience at Washington DC
I was excited to start my job as a reporter. Our group interviewed more than 32 people, includingvisitors, performers, and people from different cultures. There were two interviews that I remember the most. The first interview was with twoyoung American girls. I think they might have been cousins, but I am not sure. They told me that the festival made them want to visit China someday. They especially wanted to see the Great Wall. I thought that was really cool because it showed that the festival helped people learn about and become interested in Chinese culture.

The second interview was with a group of performers from the Qipao fashion show. They told us that they wanted to help people learn more about Chinese traditions. They also wanted to bring different cultures together and help people from China and the United States become friends.

This was my first time being a reporter. At first, I was a little nervous, but after a few interviews, Istarted to feel more comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Talking to different people helped me learn about Chinese culture from many different points of view.
My favorite part of being a reporter was meeting new people and hearing their stories. I learned alot and had so much fun. The festival was amazing, and I hope I can go again next year. I also hope to tell my friends about it so they can enjoy it too!
